Queen Neherenia
The mysterious Neherenia remains in a world trapped inside a large mirror, where she can remain beautiful for eternity. She was the queen of a world, but became corrupted by evil. She wanted the power of the golden crystal, which was in possession of Elios. She eventually grew to want Elios as well. She went to the White Moon where Serenity reigned and tried to take control, but was banished. She remained in her mirror world, vowing revenge. In the anime, she survived and was manipulated by Galaxia, and eventually healed by Sailormoon and returned home. In the manga, she was an alter self of Chaos. The Senshi combined powers to destroy her. She is possibly named after the mineral nepheline, found in igneous rocks. Her name is also seen written as Nepherenia, Nephelenia, and Nephrenia.

Zirconia
Zirconia's gender is up for debate... This person took orders from Neherenia and in turn gave them to the Amazon Trio and Quartet. When Neherenia is shown aged when outside her mirror, she looks just like Zirconia. Zirconia had a winged eyeball thing named Zircon that spied and took pictures of possible victims. In the anime, Neherenia decides Zirconia is useless and, well, bye-bye ugly thing. In the manga, I dunno o.O Zirconia is named after zirconia as in cubic zirconia, used as an artificial diamond. Zircon is named after the mineral zircon which can be polished into a gem.

Tigerseye
One of the Amazon Trio, Tigerseye prefers younger women for his victims [manga only]. He was originally a tiger. He's very silly, not terribly intelligent, and seems to love drinking. In the anime, he healed Usagi after her dream mirror was shattered. In the manga, his dream is to be an artist. His target and killer was Rei. He is named tiger's-eye or tiger-eye, a gemstone of changing luster. His name is also seen written as Tiger's Eye.

Hawkseye
One of the Amazon Trio, Hawkseye prefers older women for his victims [manga only]. He was originally a hawk. He seems pretty smart and sophisticated. In the anime, he threw himself in front of Fisheye to protect him. In the manga, his dream was to have shops all over the world. His target and killer was Makoto. He is supposedly named after hawk-eye. His name is also seen written as Hawk's Eye.

Fisheye
One of the Amazon Trio, Fisheye prefers men for his victims [manga only]. He was originally a fish. He manipulates water. He had a very bubbly personality and is pretty intelligent. In the anime, he figured out that the Trio wasn't human and the identities of Usagi and Chibi-Usa. In the manga, his target was (so no, he isn't gay in the manga), and the two Moons killed him. He doesn't seem to be named for anything in particular. His name is also seen written as Fish Eye.

CereCere
One of the Amazoness Quartet, CereCere is the magician of flowers. She seems smart but snobbish, and is sophisticated with particular tastes. In the anime, she becomes a regular girl and lives a normal life. In the manga, she becomes an Asteroid Senshi, Sailorceres. She is named after the asteroid Ceres, the largest asteroid and the first to be discovered. It was named for the Roman goddess of agriculture, Ceres; identified with Demeter in Greek mythology.

JunJun
One of the Amazoness Quartet, JunJun is the magician of acrobatic feats. She is very hostile but fun-loving and is always doing something that shows her acrobatic skill. In the anime, she and her sisters become regular girls and live normal lives. In the manga, she and her sisters become the Asteriod Senshi. She is Sailorjuno. She is named after the asteroid Juno, which was named after Jupiter's wife and sister, Juno, "great goddess of the state;" Hera in Greek.

VesVes
One of the Amazoness Quartet, VesVes is the magician of beasts. She's a bit aggressive and very assertive and acts like a leader. In the anime, she and her sisters become regular girls and live normal lives. In the manga, she and her sisters become the Asteriod Senshi. She is Sailorvesta. She is named after the brightest asteroid, Vesta, fourth to be discovered. It was named after the Roman goddess of hearth and home, Vesta; Hestia in Greek. Also seen written as VesuVesu, BessBess, BesuBesu and occasionally BethBeth.

ParaPara
One of the Amazoness Quartet, ParaPara is the magician of balancing balls. She's very childish; she loves to play with dolls (and rip their heads off!), cries/whines easily, and speaks in the third person. In the anime, she and her sisters become regular girls and live normal lives. In the manga, she and her sisters become the Asteriod Senshi. She is Sailorpallas. She is named after the second largest asteroid, Pallas, named after Pallas Athena, Greek goddess of war, peace, and wisdom; Minerva in Roman. Also written as PallaPalla.

In the anime, Neherenia is responsible for the Trio becoming human and the Quartet staying young. The Trio doesn't die; they were weakened, returned to animal forms, then Pegasus made them human and gave them dreams, plus let them live in Elysion. In the manga, the Quartet turns the Trio human.

* I just want everyone to be aware that I'm not entirely certain what the manga storyline is, only the characterization. It's a bit confusing to sort out... once I figure it out, I'll change this. For now, this paragraph reflects the anime version only.

Note: If I say "supposedly" in regards to a name, I haven't confirmed that the source name exists. If I say "possibly," I've found a source name that could match up, but I can't confirm whether this was Naoko Takeuchi's intent.
