I have a headache that keeps pounding itself worse, so I won't take too long for this. I took two regular Tylenol... Dad had to open it because the cap is designed so poorly, my little thumbs can't manage it when my head hurts.

I FINALLY read Harry Potter this week. I know, what took me so long, well hey, cut me some slack! I watched Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone with my parents, fell in love with it, we got a boxed set of the paperbacks, and tada. After Mom finished the first, it was decided that I should read them all first since I'd fly through them much faster. Picked it up Sunday afternoon, finished it Monday afternoon. Repeat, and you find me done with all four by Thursday evening, once I'd borrowed Goblet of Fire from one of my best friends.

Ahhh, it's a good feeling to find a new book series to love. Fweeee...

And I rediscovered how much I love Hana Kimi when I read three volumes in one night before I had to return them to another of my best friends ;)

Currents, favorites (movies, book, authors, manga) updated. Now, I will go hold my head and whimper.

Haven't had the urge to blog, but I figured I should post so I won't go TOO far without posting. Like that gap from January to May, right?

On Father's Day, I got to see Episode II with digital projection. Oh, bless you whoever came up with it... gorgeous. Absolutely amazing. When you find yourself wanting to squeel over the fuzziness of the carpet, the grittiness of the sand, and the weave of the fabric... well, I was floored. Incredible. Dad said he was even excited over how many stars he could see and how long the opening crawl was readable. We were both very, very satisfied Star Wars fans. (Keep in mind we went to the midnight showing then again in the afternoon on opening day. We're dedicated, folks.) If you're a Star Wars fan and have any means to get to a theatre with digital projection, DO IT! DO IT NOW!

*ahem* In other news... finally got Moulin Rouge on DVD (thanks Daddy!) and I watched it with my mom last night. Ooooh how I love that movie. Hadn't seen it since it was in the theatre, mind you, been enjoying the soundtrack though... but darnit, I love that movie. And now I must track down more Ewan McGregor movies, because he's fabulous.

Keep getting hand cramps from drawing ;( I'm making a picture for Jackie's site anniversary (days late, but whatever!) and it's taking its toll on my fingers. Can only draw so long before it gives up on me. Thank goodness for my Wacom tablet, though. If I was doing this with a mouse and not a stylus, I'd be in serious trouble... not to mention it would look terrible.

I'm going to a Margaret Weis book-signing on Friday. Teeeee heeeee... if you'll notice on my sidebar, she's one of my favorite authors... *rubs hands together* Just kidding, I'm not a scary fangirl. If I can have pleasant conversations with David Mack (HUGELY admire him) I can certainly handle getting books signed, sheesh. But if I have the time, I'd enjoy it if I got to speak to her, so I should figure out what's important to ask about or I'll waste an opportunity. I don't expect people that are busy writing books to have the time to reply to individual e-mails that don't deal with legalities and other important things.

Off to roleplay now, wheeee! Mass evacuations of hundreds of people on magical ships to do!

Currents updated.

I'm the #4 result on Google for "outrageous art sketches." I have to wonder what in the world that person had in mind.

Teehee... Hellsing good. Hellsing very good. Ohohoho... I finished watching it all, and got the scanlations to feed my Hellsing craving. I'll read those today, I suppose. Mwaaaaaa... I shall think happy Hellsing thoughts. I need them. Why is this?

I have lost a battle. Completely lost. It was a long, drawn out ordeal, and in the end, I gained nothing from it.

Immi: 0 :|: Kimono: 1

*weeps* I was soundly trounced! Let me tell you! The folds! Good God, the folds! And... oh, it was awful. I tried so hard. We were locked in the struggle, and yet it mocked me. The lines weren't working. Wrinkles appeared where wrinkles should never appear. The weight dragged me down... and finally, I had to give up. It laughed at me, I tell you. "Poor little Western girl can't wear me! Too difficult for you!" Ohhh the shame!

But just you wait, kimono... just you wait. When you least suspect it, the battle will being anew! Someday... I will be victorious! T_T

I've updated the Self section of my sidebar with "currents," for the heck of it. Enjoy... <3

I went to my cousin's wedding this Saturday, in case anyone missed my posts :P (bah!)

Jackie sent me the first three episodes of Hellsing, I watched 2 of them last night. Yay <3  They were pretty cool! Selas is kind of overly curvy, even for an animated character... ah well. I felt a nagging familiarity when I heard Integral's voice, sounded like a certain someone, so I looked it up on Hellsing.nu and sure enough, it's the seiyuu that did Neherenia in SM and Layla/Karla in Lodoss War. I'm so good XD  Arucard was giving me familiary too, in the "it's that evil man!" sort of way; I had to go check another site to figure out who in the world it was because I couldn't place it. No wonder I had that reaction; it's the voice of the Creator in the Angel Sanctuary drama CDs. Eeeevil >:O  (Reminder to everyone that it's a fictional character, doesn't reflect my religious beliefs and that sort of thing. On another note, if you haven't been to Sinfest.net, you're missing out.) Well, he's also the voice of Kashue in the Lodoss War TV series, so that's a cool role :D

*ponders other things to say* Hmmm... well... not much has been happening. I watched the made-for-video The Skulls II with my cousins (I never saw the original movie.) It was alright. Shades of the Brotherhood of the Masons in all the "A Skull Above Any Other" stuff, not that I know very much about the Masons.

Huge families are interesting... trying to keep track of all the extended family and how you're related to them and what-not. My mom's side of the family... ENORMOUS. She has three brothers and three sisters. My brother and I have 7 cousins, which means my grandparents have 9 grandchildren. I'm the fourth oldest (and on my dad's side, the oldest of 7 grandchildren.) I have all sorts of first-, second-, third-cousins, great-great-great-relations, and what have you. I have no idea how I'm related to some of my relatives, just that somewhere down the line, we tie back to my greatgrandparents. It's so confusing X_x;;;  Aieee... Mom says that my cousin's husband would be considered my first cousin by marriage. That seems weird to me, because that's saying my cousins are married O.x;;; How do you classify relations to people?! I don't understand it! Especially with second and third and once removed and all that... I don't know what the "once removed" and all that refers to. Somebody... help me... how am I related to people...

Maybe the answer will turn up when I watch more episodes, but when I was watching the first episode of Hellsing, I asked my brother to identify a white car for me. He figured it out perfectly. The question is, was that supposed to be Arucard's car? They kept showing the car and going back to him, so I wasn't sure if that was meant to show that he's the one in the car, or that's the car his target was travelling in. Anyone know whose car that was?

Correction: Jackie says that car was Integral's; thanks for clearing that up for me. I told her what type of car it was so she can use it on her shrine. Yay for car-obsessed brothers!

Jackie - squirrels are indeed very cool animals. I don't know why anyone wouldn't like a squirrel. You have brown ones up there, right? Ours are grey. They need to stop running across the road right when we're driving up, freaks us out thinking they'll get squished ;_;

This fire ant bite sucks.

Got my kimono hung up a couple days ago. I used packing tape to put two wooden dowel rods together, slipped it through the sleeves of the kimono, then use part of the closet shelf to hang the ends of the dowels on. My dad helped my tie it in the center though; I should have gotten sturdier dowels because it sags a bit thanks to me underestimating the weight of silk. Ah well! It's airing well now, hanging nice and straight like that. I have to keep my closet door open, though, so that the air circulates. My closet gets HOT in the summer, and that wouldn't be good for the kimono.

I finally started using my Neopet (Kuuchan) to battle. I mean, why did I boost her stats up with all that training if I'm not going to use it, right? Took several fights to FINALLY beat that stupid Pant Devil, rarr! And I beat two of my friend's pets, she needs to get them more endurance!

Hummm. Been rather bored. I should work on my site, I suppose, but after all that work I did a few days ago, I'm in no hurry to do more. Poor brain, I overworked it. I should be reading the books I keep renewing...

What to do, what to do. *yawn*

I THINK I'm getting this commenting working right... thank you, YACCS!

Uggggh, so wiped out from the anime convention I went to yesterday (no, it wasn't A-Kon.) The night before, I felt like I didn't sleep; if I did, it certainly wasn't restful and I didn't dream (which leads me to believe I didn't sleep.) So by the end of the con, I felt like hell with a headache, especially after we'd been stuck in the packed hallway for an hour and I wanted to puke/pass-out/both. Oh well, I had a good time otherwise! This entry is in no particular order :)

I gave my site address to a few people - I had fun yakking with several nice people that asked me for my e-mail address, so I just gave them my site address, and also to a girl that saw me in the dealer's room that was curious about an Angel Sanctuary artbook her friend had out while we waited for the j-rock panel. I didn't catch everyone's names, but hello to the crazy j-rock fangirl (just kidding!) and Lisa and the awesome Kyo cosplayer and Nick (if you end up here, I think I forgot to give him my address...) and... and whoever else I gave it to, I can't remember! ;_;

A lot of the costumes were very nice, but alas, I couldn't understand a lot of the skits because I was either (1) not familiar with the series, (2) unable to hear because they were too quiet. Ah well! Belldandy was so beautiful! And the Dir en grey cosplayers rocked. There was a Kyo, Kaoru, and Die, all from... oh dangit, I'm too tired to remember which song. The Die with googles and plated boots and gloves was SO skinny (which he's supposed to be anyways!)... and had the perfect boots *_*  The Kaoru wasn't too skinny, thank goodness, had the right bulk for Kaoru, and his Chinese dress was really shiny, ooo O.O! (I like shiny things.) His hairstyle was right, I would have preferred more pink in it but it still looked good...

And the Kyo, WAHAHAHA! Rain told me there was a Kyo, so when I found him, I complimented him on how cool the outfit came out (the red dressy thing with the sequins and the black leather buckled corset.) He had his face painted and the poofed out hair (wig? It looked too perfectly straight out to be real hair!) and the torn crazy umbrella and everything XD  Now, there was a detail missing, but I won't say what it was, shhhh... he told me they (him and his costumer) had it prepared but they didn't have time to put it on. He was very nice, we yakked out in the hallway before it got crowded :) He did Kyo's dancing very well XD  And the scream, bwahahahhaha! So rare to see guys cosplay j-rockers, woo! But as I joked with him, he's too tall for Kyo and I'm just about the right height XD  I think I recognized the girl that was Die, but I didn't get a good enough look at her face.

I bought 4 boxes of pocky (2 strawberry and 2 coconut chocolate,) the Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust soundtrack, and a gorgeous dark pink silk kimono with a cherry blossom pattern and a darker green obi with flowers in gold, silver, dark green, and brown. So beautiful! *_* I need to get a good wooden rod to hang it with to better air out and hold the folds, coat hanger just won't cut it and the nice lady that picked it out for me and put it on me said I shouldn't leave it folded for long (it's on a coat hanger right now; airing is more important than the folds, right now!) And I need to find a place with good colored cords to wear over the obi; she recommended dark red or gold.

One of my friends went with me to see the Oh My Goddess! movie. It was pretty good, it didn't live up to my expectations, but there were still some really great parts. I'm glad I got to see it there though, because I'm not sure that I want to spend the money to get the DVD. Ah well, I get new issues of the manga monthly, I like it better than the anime. The movie WAS gorgeous, though, very good colors and clothing, and the seiyuu were excellent. The story just wasn't as good as I expected.

Well, I'm still feeling wiped out... and I need to eat. Please let me know if you have any problems with the comments feature! Ta-ta for now!

Alright, got several hours of sleep, did some site tweaking, took care of a layout I owed my dad for months, now I'm sitting and waiting on 6:00 to arrive so I can try to get a blog comment feature. I'd expect I still have to do all my entries myself, but it'd be very nice to get the commenting. It's going to take a long time for this page to fill up enough to be as long as the side-bar! Oh well.

I need to come up with a very simple archive layout... since I'll have to do all the archiving myself and all. See, I would use Greymatter, but it requires PERL on the server (we don't have that installed.) Blogger (what I used before) requires FTP access, which I don't have. So... I don't know of any other blog programs, at least ones that would meet my needs. If y'all have any ideas, though, feel free to drop a line in my guestbook or something... I need heeeeelp.

I haven't figure out how I want to go about this yet; I'm going to be manually updating the blog instead of using an outside source for it... so, I have to figure out my format still. I'll get the blog back up again soon, though (and finally update it!) For now... uh... Look at ze pretty layout! Oooo, ahhh...

Man, do I need sleep... *goes to crash out finally*
